- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My very first visit was a complete nightmare. I was seen by a nurse practitioner, Wendy. She asked me questions and while I was trying to answer them she would cut me off mid sentence. She shrugged off my issues by saying things like, "Well, if you've never ended up in a mental hospital you're not that bad". I felt like I wasn't being heard and my point wasn't getting across to her. No matter how much I tried to explain my issues, she continued to act like I was just being dramatic and even rolled her eyes at one point. It was a very uncomfortable situation. It was difficult for me to open up about my deepest, darkest struggles to a complete stranger so for her to act like I was making all of it up made me feel even more awful. In the end, she ignored all my symptoms and put me on a simple antidepressant (which never ended up helping at all). I've seen my share of therapists and psychiatrists but this woman was by far the worst.November 02, 2017by A. User
